According to DawgNation, Georgia freshmen Natrez Patrick and Chauncey Rivers were arrested early Wednesday on misdemeanor marijuana possession.

These are the first arrests for Georgia football this season. Patrick, a linebacker, has appeared in seven games and works primarily on special teams. Rivers plays along the the defensive line and has appeared in two games this season.

Each player will be suspended for one game per university policy.

“They made a very poor decision and I’m extremely disappointed,” Mark Richt said in a statement. “They will be disciplined in an appropriate manner and hopefully have learned a valuable life lesson that will benefit them moving forward.”
