Roman Harper believes Georgia is so talented that the Bulldogs are capable of knocking off Alabama on Monday night in Indianapolis. But the SEC Network analyst raised a defining question about Georgia.

“Can they get punched and respond,” Harper said on The Paul Finebaum Show. “Last week versus Michigan, Michigan never punched them. So was just a game that played right into Georgia’s hands, the way that they’ve played every other game this season. I don’t know if it actually helped them going forward because they weren’t pushed. Or maybe it did help them because at least we got our swagger back, our confidence going back forward that we are the dominant team and dominant defense.”

Harper added that Georgia must play the game on its terms, and not turn the ball over, to run the ball and throw it off of play-action passes.

“That is a formula for Georgia to win this game,” Harper said. “If Alabama’s able to score, if Georgia can’t put pressure on Bryce Young, if they keep him clean, they’re going to be tough because Bryce Young is that good.”

Harper also reiterated that the 2 most important things in big games are the head coach and quarterback, and Alabama has the advantage in both categories in this game, he said.
