Georgia is loaded with talent, and figures to have a banner season this fall.

In fact, the Bulldogs should cruise to their first SEC East crown in three years and could possibly make their way into the College Football Playoff mix if everything falls just right.

Or at least so opined SEC Network analysts Matt Stinchcomb and Paul Finebaum when they recently got together to predict Georgia’s record for the 2015 season. They began the conversation with some sure wins on the Bulldogs schedule before delving into the games that should be more hotly contested.

  • vs. Louisiana-Monroe
  • at Vanderbilt
  • vs. Southern
  • vs. Georgia Southern

Particularly noteworthy among the remaining games was the much-anticipated Oct. 3 matchup with Alabama that could be a preview of the SEC Championship Game two months later. The game will mark the first time the two stories programs have met in the regular season since 2008. The Dawgs wore black jerseys in the loss that day, but Stinchcomb, a former Georgia offensive lineman, guessed they wouldn’t make that mistake again.

Here are the rest of the matchups that were a little harder to predict.

Sept. 19 – SOUTH CAROLINA AT GEORGIA

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “I think that Georgia takes care of business versus South Carolina.”

Finebaum: “[The series against the Gamecocks] hasn’t been a good one for the Dawgs, but it will be this year.”

Oct. 3 – ALABAMA AT GEORGIA

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “I think if there was ever a time for [the Bulldogs] to catch Alabama, it’s now.”

Finebaum: “I like Georgia. I think it’s a long time coming. This game has been circled for years.”

Oct. 10 – GEORGIA AT TENNESSEE

Predicted result: Loss

Finebaum: “Typical Georgia. They’ll still be celebrating on the flight to Knoxville. I say Tennessee wins this game.”

Stinchcomb: “I think [Tennessee] also wins this game as well, partly because they’re on the heels of the Alabama Crimson Tide game.”

Oct. 17 – MISSOURI AT GEORGIA

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “Missouri has been kind of the bugaboo for Georgia, for lack of a better word. [The Bulldogs] will beat ‘em this year.”

Finebaum: “It’s over.”

Oct. 31 – FLORIDA VS. GEORGIA (Jacksonville)

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “They’ll take care of Florida.”

Finebaum agreed with Stinchcomb and put up another win for Georgia.

Nov. 7 – KENTUCKY AT GEORGIA

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “I think they take care of Kentucky, a team that’s up-and-coming.”

Finebaum agreed with Stinchcomb and put up another win for Georgia.

Nov. 14 – GEORGIA AT AUBURN

Predicted result: Loss

Stinchcomb: “I think they drop to the Tigers as well.”

Finebaum agreed with Stinchcomb and put up another loss for Georgia.

Nov. 28 – GEORGIA TECH AT GEORGIA

Predicted result: Win

Stinchcomb: “I think they beat Tech again.”

Finebaum agreed with Stinchcomb and put up another win for Georgia.

FINAL PREDICTED RECORD: 10-2
