The Georgia Bulldogs have taken a big step forward in coach Kirby Smart’s second year at the helm of the program, currently sitting at 7-0 and at No. 3 in the AP Poll.

However, that doesn’t mean the Bulldogs are full of themselves, as RB Sony Michel explained on Wednesday evening.

The senior running back said the atmosphere around the program is not one that you’d expect from an undefeated team, adding that the coaches aren’t taking it easy on the players (via 247Sports):

“It’s crazy to say that it don’t even feel like we’re undefeated,” Michel said. “The way we practice. The way we’re being coached. It seems like we’ve lost games. The way we’re being coached, the way we’re being pushed so hard.”

Ahead of this weekend’s Florida game, the Bulldogs indeed need to keep their feet on the gas pedal, as a win this weekend would get them one big step closer to an SEC East title.

Smart is trying to emulate Nick Saban’s program at Alabama, and so far, he’s done a great job. However, there won’t be any time to rest until after the SEC Championship Game if the Bulldogs keep winning.
