This rushing stat may determine Georgia's fate against Auburn
The Georgia Bulldogs have had a dynamic rushing attack the past two seasons, with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel carrying the load in 2017 and D’Andre Swift and Elijah Holyfield taking the lead this fall.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs win games when their running backs play well and lose when they can’t move the ball on the ground.
In fact, the magic number seems to be 150 yards, as Brandon Zimmerman pointed out on Twitter. When the Dawgs have hit that benchmark the past two years, they are 21-0. When they’ve failed, they’re 0-3:
As noted by @ESPNStatsInfo, the Bulldogs are 21-0 when rushing for 150+ the last two seasons and 0-3 when under 150. How much will Georgia gain on the ground vs. Auburn.

One of those losses, obviously, was to Auburn last year. The Tigers held the Dawgs to a measly 46 yards on the ground in that 40-17 romp at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Auburn defense is allowing only 134.1 rushing yards per game this year, while the Georgia offense is piling up 233.8 yards a contest. See which team wins the ground battle on Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
