Todd Gurley isn’t sweating the news that the Los Angeles Rams have released him.

And why would he?

Sure, it’s probably not the best feeling in the world to be cut during these unsettling times but Gurley can rest assured another NFL team is going to pay him a lot of money next season to suit up for them come the fall.

Don’t believe us?

Well, check out Gurley’s reaction after being released by the only NFL team he’s ever played for on Thursday:

If you missed the news, the Rams released Gurley not long after word leaked the team was trying to trade the former All-Pro running back. When that didn’t work, the team released Gurley leading up to the 4 p.m. ET deadline to hand over just over $10 million in roster bonuses.

Back in the offseason leading up to the 2018 season, the Rams gave Gurley the richest contract for a running back in NFL history when the former Georgia standout was given a four-year deal through the 2023 season worth up to $60 million with $45 million guaranteed.

Now, after rushing for 5,404 yards and 58 touchdowns during his time with the franchise, Gurley will become an unrestricted free agent. Gurley will now be free to sign with any NFL team.
