Former UGA running back Todd Gurley had a strong bond with Richt, and that’s evident in Gurley’s recent Instagram photo, which was a short message to his former head coach.

Under Richt, Gurley rushed for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns, totaling 3,900 yards and 42 touchdowns during his three-year career.

Gurley posted the following on his Instagram account:

Greatest coach of all time and even a better person. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Words can’t explain how this feels but I know God has a plan. #Dawg4life #loveyoucoach
