Hopefully Orson Charles didn’t buy any real estate in Denver. Just two days after the Denver Broncos signed him, the Broncos waived him in order to promote outside linebacker Ahmad Gooden from the practice squad.

A fourth-round pick for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2012 NFL Draft, Charles is a former Georgia first-team All-SEC selection at tight end and fullback. From 2009-11, Charles posted 94 receptions for 1,370 yards and five touchdowns. His best season came during his senior year when he recorded 45 catches for 574 yards and five touchdowns.

After spending two seasons with the Bengals, Charles played one season each for the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. He has 14 catches and 185 receiving yards in his career.

The Broncos will visit the Buffalo Bills this Sunday in Week 12 of the NFL season.
