Georgia’s Todd Gurley is currently waiting on an official ruling regarding the length of his suspension pending an NCAA investigation into whether he accepted extra benefits for his likeness from memorabilia brokers.

Speculation of whether he would play this weekend against Arkansas after sitting out vs. Missouri ramped up earlier in the week because he was actively practicing with the team.

Head coach Mark Richt took to Twitter Thursday morning and cleared things up.

With Gurley unlikely to play against Arkansas, it appears Georgia will once again have to rely on true freshman running back Nick Chubb, who broke out for 38 carries, 143 yards and one touchdown in the ‘Dawgs’ 34-0 win over Missouri.

Brendan Douglas will back up Chubb, along with defensive back JJ Green, who practiced with the running backs to help bolster depth this week.
