The KirbyCopter apparently wasn’t a one time deal.

A few days after being spotted making recruiting stops in a helicopter, Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker have taken to the sky once again to visit Marietta High School Friday. There’s no better way for a college coach to make a splash entrance than a helicopter and the Georgia staff is using that to their advantage this week.

Whatever works, Georgia is going to do. Needless to say, as UGA is close to reeling in the top recruiting class in the nation for 2018, the strategy of the current staff is working like a charm.

Using a helicopter may seem excessive to some but it also allows coaches to travel significantly quicker than staying grounded. When dealing with recruiting windows that have become smaller and smaller over time, saving time could be the difference between landing a prospect and finishing second.
