Dane Key has an eye on history, and following Kentucky’s win over Florida on Saturday, the up-and-coming wide receiver recreated Kash Daniels’ iconic water bottle smash in Gainesville.

Key, a freshman from Lexington, had a big night for the Wildcats with 3 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown, including a 55-yard catch that went to the house.

The original water bottle smash came 4 years ago by Daniels, who led the celebration at the time when the Wildcats shocked Florida, 27-16. Daniel let out a primal roar and crushing double-fisted drenching of himself with two bottles. It was all a nod to the signature line of wrestling star Stone Cold Steve Austin, “and that’s the bottom line.”

Key and Daniel are both native Kentuckians, and Daniels had plenty to celebrate as UK at the time ended the 31-game losing streak to the Gators.

This time, UK bounced back from an early sub-par effort last week against Miami-Ohio, while Florida came off a huge win over No. 7 Utah.
