Before Kentucky was one of the most talked-about teams in the SEC, Rafael Little was a dependable all-purpose running back who made a living catching passes out of the backfield.

More than a decade ago, it was Little who was setting records in the backfield and on special teams. Randall Cobb then broke some of his records, and Benny Snell Jr. last week broke a Cobb record for most touchdowns.

Fans will remember some of those highlights when Little is honored as an honorary captain before Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Little played for the Wildcats from 2004-07, and had 1,000-yard rushing seasons in 2005 and 2007 as he led UK in rushing for three straight years.

He had 2,996 rushing yards and 5,343 all-purpose yards during his UK career.

He signed as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans, and last played in the Canadian Football League.
