The 2020 season may have been an overall disappointing one for Kentucky but at least the Wildcats ended the season on a high note, winning the final two games of the season, which included a win over No. 23 N.C. State in the Gator Bowl.

Now it appears the Wildcats will have plenty of momentum heading into the 2021 season as several seniors have already committed to returning to Kentucky for another season.

Receiver Josh Ali, tight end Justin Rigg and defensive backs Zach Johnson and Davonte Robinson all publicly made their decisions to return for another season on Saturday and defensive lineman Josh Paschal joined them by announcing his decision on Sunday.

“I believe another year of training with my teammates will not only help me, but also help my teammates achieve something that has never been accomplished at UK,” Paschal posted regarding his decision to return for the 2021 season.

During his time in Lexington, which has been limited due to a successful battle against cancer, Paschal has racked up 85 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.

In case you are unaware, the NCAA has given all players a free season of eligibility in 2020. This is how these Kentucky seniors are permitted to return for another season.

Additionally, all seniors that decide to return for another season will not count against their program’s 85-man scholarship limit. So these returns are a bonus all the way around for the Wildcats.
