Kentucky’s defensive secondary is without some depth because a cornerback is not with the team right now.

The news comes from On3, and it reports that true freshman cornerback Maxwell Hairston is not with the team because of a personal issue, a university spokesperson told KSR.

Hairston is a 6-foot-1, 175 pound athlete from West Bloomfield, Michigan., who was recruited to Kentucky by former UK secondary coach Steve Clinkscale, who is now at Michigan. A 3-star recruit, 247 Sports ranked Hairston as the No. 19 prospect in Michigan and No. 65 cornerback nationally.

When Hairston announced his commitment to Kentucky about a year ago, he said, “Kentucky has been a dream school of mine since I was young, this is huge.
