Kentucky momentum continues with commitment from JUCO cornerback
Kentucky’s 4-0 start has already paid dividends in the recruiting department.
A junior college cornerback announced on Twitter on Sunday that he’s committed to play for Kentucky. Brandin Echols is a 6-foot, 180 pound 3-star recruit from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He reportedly had seven offers, including Ole Miss, according to 247 Sports. He’s the No. 44 JUCO player in this class, and
The announcement came less than 24 hours after Kentucky upset No. 14. Mississippi State, 28-7. He was in Lexington for the game on an official visit, reported Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Echols is from Southaven, Miss. and is in his sophomore season. He will have three years to play two seasons at Kentucky, which also offer him a scholarship offer out of high school.
With Echols, Kentucky is ranked No. 12 in the SEC and No. 37 in the country with 18 commits for the 2019 class.
