Kentucky entered the SEC Baseball Tournament as the No. 12 seed — the lowest seed to make the conference tournament (Mississippi State and Mizzou didn’t earn invites to Hoover).

But, after a Tuesday night game was postponed and became a Wednesday afternoon game, the Wildcats proved they’re tougher than their seed would indicate.

Tied 1-1 entering the top of the ninth inning, the Wildcats got back-to-back home runs from Oraj Anu and Adam Fogel to lead them to a 3-1 victory:

Now, the Wildcats will advance to play LSU in the first game of the double-elimination round. The contest has already been pushed back to Thursday due to weather delays.

Can the 12-seed keep advancing? They’ve taken down No. 5 and now have their sights set on No. 4 LSU.
