According to a report from FBSschedules.com, Kentucky agreed to a 3-game series with Akron.

Two of those games will be played in Lexington and one is scheduled for Akron.

According to the report, Kentucky will host the Zips on Sept. 18, 2021 and again in the 2024 season opener on Aug. 31. The Wildcats will reportedly make the trip to Akron on Sept. 16, 2023.

FBS Schedules reported that Akron will get $1.3 million from Kentucky for the first game in Lexington and $250,000 for the second tilt. Kentucky won’t get any money for traveling to Akron.

In their only meeting back in 2010, Kentucky won 47-10.

Kentucky now has its 2021 schedule completely filled while it still has 3 non-conference spots open for 2023 and 2024.
