Kentucky fans have embraced the football team’s historic season this year, and the support has been evident throughout the season.

After UK’s last-gasp win at Missouri, fans gathered at the airport and near Kroger Field as the team arrived back in Lexington.

“That shows the growth that we’re coming along, for the community, for the university” LB Josh Allen said during an appearance on “SEC This Morning. “We’re still not there yet. We still have a couple of games to get to the ultimate goal. It’s just an awesome feeling to have them there.”

Allen said he’s already received support and encouragement from Big Blue Nation ahead of this week’s game against Georgia which will decide the SEC East. He said they’ve prepared all offseason for this, and have seen everything and are, “just ready to win.”

“I think it’s going to be bigger than the South Carolina, Mississippi State (games), I think it’s going to be the loudest game we’ve ever had,” Allen said. “I know the fans are going to go out there and show their support every play. … I’m just looking forward to this game, it’s going to be a high emotional game. It’s going to be a battle won in the trenches, and that’s the games we love.”

The game is set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Lexington on CBS.
