The 2019 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, and it won’t be long before Kentucky EDGE Josh Allen hears his name called.

By almost all accounts, he’s a top-five pick, and could even potentially go No. 1 overall. Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy would definitely pick Allen No. 1.

During an appearance on SiriusXM on Tuesday, Nagy explained why he thinks Allen will make a great NFL player:

“I thought he was the most improved player in college football this year,” he said. “You saw it right away. He put on the extra weight this year, whatever it was — 20, 25 pounds. You saw the extra power he’s played with in his game. He’s better against the run and the sack numbers skyrocketed. … There were some games in the fourth quarter where he really took over and was almost unstoppable. … If I were a team picking up high and I needed an EDGE guy, Josh Allen would be my pick.”

We’ll see where Allen ultimately ends up going on Thursday night, but Nagy is right that Allen probably won’t be on the board for very long.
