Lynn Bowden Jr. saved the best for last in his three-year Kentucky football career.

The former Wildcat touched on a number of topics in a recent Q&A with The Spun. When asked about the thrilling finish to the Belk Bowl, his final game at UK, Bowden revealed that it is his favorite moment in blue and white.

The Spun: Before you threw a game-winning TD pass against Virginia Tech, the two sides were jawing back and forth. How was that game?

Bowden: Man, that was my favorite moment from my time at Kentucky. Nobody could have ever told me that I’d end my collegiate career throwing a game-winning touchdown pass. It’s surreal.

While Kentucky achieved more wins (10) and a more prestigious bowl berth (Citrus Bowl) in the 2018 campaign, no one can fault Bowden for calling his game-winning touchdown pass over the Hokies his favorite moment as a Wildcat. The game-winner was Bowden’s lone touchdown pass of the day as he threw only 12 passes, rushing 34 times for 233 yards. The 37-30 win over Virginia Tech gave Mark Stoops’ squad a four-game winning streak to end the 2019 campaign 8-5 overall. Wildcats fans can relive the play in the video below.

Bowden was selected No. 80 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.
