Kentucky starts fall camp this week and while that’s typically cause for celebration in Lexington, Mark Stoops shared some terrible news during his first press availability of the camp, revealing Josh Paschal’s skin lesions have returned.

The sophomore defensive end was already expected to miss the entire upcoming season due to a foot injury, so this update won’t affect his status with the team moving forward but is obviously concerning to the program and the Paschal family.

“Josh and his family are handling it well,” Stoops said during his press conference. “They want to be open about this so that there was no speculation. They also want this to be a reminder to people to pay close attention to their skin and have those evaluated.”

Paschal saw the field regularly as a true freshman in 2017 and should have a significant role with the team upon his return, hopefully by the 2019 season.
