The Kentucky Wildcats started the year 7-1, but have lost their last two games to Georgia and Tennessee to fall to 7-3.

Still, it has been a solid year for coach Mark Stoops and his squad, even though the offense has been stagnant (to say the least) in recent weeks.

So, will Stoops and OC Eddie Gran make changes to the offensive scheme? Stoops was asked that question on Monday and said he doesn’t think it would be a great idea to do that (via 247Sports):

“No, that wouldn’t be a very good idea,” he said. “We got two opportunities to get the most victories we’ve had in the regular season since when? Since 1977. I don’t think that’d be very wise. We did a lot of good things to win seven games. We plan on trying to get the eighth and ninth. I appreciate all the good things that they did to put us in that position. That would be called panic-mode.”

Kentucky hosts Middle Tennessee this weekend before closing the year in Louisville against a Cardinals team that just fired coach Bobby Petrino, so a nine-win season is still very much in play for the Wildcats.
