Until a prospect signs on the dotted line, anything is possible.

Kentucky landed a very talented 2017 QB prospect in Ohio native Danny Clark. The 6-foot-4 3-star has definite upside — with very good athleticism and terrific arm strength. Clark’s journey to Lexington was a very interesting one.

Clark was previously committed to Ohio State as a high school freshman. Urban Meyer targeted Clark and figured he’d turn out to be the next great signal-caller in Columbus. Clark’s pride for OSU was immense — to the point he got a tattoo of the famed “O” on his arm:

Buckeye till I die . Glad my girl was with me for the first one

As is the case when it comes to recruiting, anything can truly happen. It isn’t exactly clear as to what happened between Clark and Ohio State, but it appears as if Meyer decided to move on from Clark. This may have been over concerns about his development — or the fact OSU received a pledge from elite QB Tate Martell.

Regardless, Ohio State’s loss was Kentucky’s gain. In an attempt to further himself away from the past, Clark unveiled this alteration to his Buckeyes’ tattoo on Saturday:

Inky
