The Kentucky Wildcats entered Sunday with 20 signees in their 2018 recruiting class and three hard commits.

However, on Sunday morning, they lost an elite outside linebacker commit in 4-star Ohio native Xavier Peters, who flipped to Florida State.

Peters, who was the No. 1 player in Kentucky’s 2018 class, is reportedly heading south to join coach Willie Taggart’s first Seminole recruiting class:

According to the 247Sports composite, Peters is the No. 12 outside linebacker in the class of 2018 and the No. 6 overall recruit from the state of Ohio.

Prior to the flip of Peters, the Wildcats had the No. 9 recruiting class in the SEC and the No. 30 class nationally, per 247Sports. However, Peters’ decision will likely have a big impact on Kentucky’s rankings.
