The Kentucky offense in 2018 will be very reliant on star RB Benny Snell Jr., and that means the Wildcats also need a healthy offensive line.

However, the latter part of that equation took a big hit on Saturday, as it was reported that a starting lineman would likely miss the entire 2018 season.

Per Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, starting LT Landon Young blew out his knee recently and damaged the cartilage in that knee:

Young played in all 13 games for the Wildcats last season, making six starts at left tackle. He was projected to be the starter in 2018.

This is obviously a setback for the junior, but he’ll still have two years of eligibility remaining if he has to take a redshirt this fall.
