UPDATE: Kentucky has officially named Brad White as the team’s new defensive coordinator.

Kentucky has tabbed Matt House’s replacement.

Brad White will replace House as Kentucky’s defensive coordinator, per 247Sports. House left Kentucky for the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this offseason.

White coached UK’s outside linebackers last season, and he’ll serve as the linebackers coach, along with the coordinator duty, in 2019. He’s entering his second season in Lexington, and he previously spent six seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Following the NCAA’s decision to allow 10 on-field coaches last year, Kentucky then hired White, and it sure paid off.

Josh Allen, of course, excelled under White’s leadership, and Mark Stoops is looking for more of the same.

Earlier Tuesday, Kentucky added Ole Miss assistant Jon Sumrall to the coaching staff, and he’ll coach the inside linebackers.
