Coming out of high school in Los Angeles, Jemarl Baker Jr. was a 4-star shooting guard in the 2017 recruiting class.

He ended up committing to Kentucky, where he redshirted during the 2017-18 season before appearing in 28 games for the Wildcats this past year.

After the season, though, he decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal, and it seems as if he’ll try to head closer to his California home. Per Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com, Baker is on an official visit with historic Pac-12 power Arizona this weekend:

Arizona isn’t the only program in the mix for Baker, as Weingarten reports that Arizona State, Marquette, San Diego State, Saint Mary’s and Fresno State are also pursuing the talented guard:

All of those teams besides Marquette are closer to or located in California, so we’ll see where Baker ends up next.

In 9.1 minutes per game this past year, he averaged 2.3 points and shot 31 percent from three-point range.
