Sahvir Wheeler is on the move again, as the Kentucky guard has reportedly made plans to enter the transfer portal, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reported.

Wheeler, a Houston native who began his career at Georgia, this past season averaged 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 5.6 assists for the Wildcats this past season. But he missed 13 games this season mostly after an ankle injury lingered, and didn’t appear on Senior Night and pointed to an undisclosed medical procedure.

Wheeler, who last played before the injury on Feb. 4, was expected to be available in the NCAA Tournament against Providence and Kansas State, but didn’t make it on the floor.

When healthy, Wheeler was averaging 28.6 minutes per game, and he was a major part of Kentucky’s rotation. However true freshman guard Cason Wallace took on a larger role in Wheeler’s place down the stretch of the season.

The 5-foot-9 guard was a second-team All-SEC selection last season when he was also a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award presented to the country’s top point guard.

He opened this past season back in the starting point guard role, but up and down play and a shoulder injury kept him out of Kentucky’s Jan. 14 road win at Tennessee, and that led John Calipari to give some of his playing time to Wallace.
