Will Levis and the Kentucky Wildcats received plenty of preseason hype, and they’re backing it up two games into the season.

The Wildcats are ranked at No. 9 in the nation after they most recently recorded a 26-16 win over an underrated Florida Gators team that now sits at No. 18. The victory comes on the heels of a 37-13 win over the Miami RedHawks in the season opener.

Levis, who has completed 60.7% of his passes for 505 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions this season, believes this is a program “on the rise.”

“We can do anything we set our minds to,” Levis said to Zach Gelb of CBS Sports. “Our goal this whole offseason was to go to the SEC Championship and win… want to go to that New Year’s Six bowl game and also obviously want to win the SEC and national championship. That’s our highest goal.”

Kentucky has all the right pieces in place to make a big run and looks to be among the SEC’s most fearsome teams in a stacked group.

The Wildcats face two smaller opponents between Youngstown State and Northern Illinois over the next couple of weeks before returning to SEC play against the Ole Miss Rebels on Oct. 1.
