Will Levis is appreciative of the support the Kentucky offense is getting in recent weeks as the Wildcats are off to a 2-0 start, most notably following the win over Missouri on Saturday.

“I’m cool with it, I love the support that we’re getting across the country, obviously our fan base, how we’re running this offense and how the team’s been playing, just got to keep going and keep working,” Levis said.

Levis also talked about the running game, and how it took over the game against Mizzou on Saturday.

“Once those things really did start working, we were averaging getting 5, 6, 7 yards a carry seemed like every time we ran the ball,” he said. “So it’s kind of like ‘why go away from it if it’s working.’ So I was just able to operate and do whatever was asked of me as the quarterback and if it’s running the ball, then so be it.”

Levis also recapped his decision to land at Kentucky, and said it came after his plans to graduate from Penn State.

“If I wanted to transfer, that would be a good time to do it, which would be after I graduated, just being the grad transfer, not missing out on eligibility. Once the decision was made, Kentucky was one of the first schools to reach out to me, and it became pretty clear to me that my opportunities weren’t going to get much better than that, and just instantly hit it off with Coach Stoops and Coach Coen, and just what their visions were for the program and what they’ve done in the past, and what their plans were for the future, and thought it was going to be a really good situation for me. They trusted in me and came here and worked really hard this summer, and it’s been working out pretty well so far.”

Levis also said Coen has helped him become really comfortably with going through concepts and progressions within the offense.
