Bidding on the game-worn jersey used during LSU’s game against the Gamecocks earlier this season is at $40,000 with five hours remaining, as of 6:30 a.m. EST on Monday. The auction ends at noon EST.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the previous high paid for a game-used college jersey was $26,290 for one worn by by Notre Dame standout and NFL Hall of Famer Paul Hornung.

Bidding for Fournette’s jersey began at $7,000 last week. The package also includes signed helmets by Steve Spurrier and Les Miles.
