It’s been a solid year for the LSU Tigers in head coach Brian Kelly’s first season with the program as the team heads into Week 13 with a complicated, but still possible, chance of making it into the College Football Playoff.

One of the keys to the team’s success has been defensive coordinator Matt House, who some believe could realistically depart from LSU sooner rather than later to take a head coaching position.

Kelly was asked about hold on to House and the possibility of losing him.

“If he gets an opportunity that will better him I will help him in any way possible,” Kelly said. “That’s the profession. I would never stand in the way of someone wanting to be a head coach.”

He also said he thought House and his family were happy in Baton Rouge.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold as the Tigers’ season continues with a 6 p.m. game against the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, Texas on Saturday night.
