The LSU Tigers were without star LB Devin White for the first half of Saturday’s blowout loss to Alabama.

That, as you all know by now, was the result of a targeting penalty that occurred late in the fourth quarter of LSU’s win over Mississippi State two weeks prior.

White came in for the second half and played well, recording eight tackles, but it wasn’t enough to help the Tigers avoid a 29-0 loss. So, what did White do during the first half, when he was confined to the locker room? He said he was doing pushups and pacing around trying to keep himself calm:

LSU fans went all out to try to get White to play, starting #FreeDevinWhite campaigns and putting up billboards in Birmingham — home to the SEC headquarters. White said he appreciated LSU fans’ efforts to get the suspension lifted:

The Tigers will have White back in the fold as they resume SEC play this weekend against Arkansas. White will be motivated to finish the year strong after missing the first half of Saturday’s loss.
