The LSU defense was dealt a blow this weekend when it learned that S Todd Harris would miss the rest of the season following a knee injury suffered against Northwestern State.

Coach Ed Orgeron called the injury an “unfortunate accident” where Harris “landed on the ground wrong.”

Harris was poised for a big season following a 2018 campaign where he appeared in 11 games, and had nine tackles in his first career start against Louisiana Tech.

Harris came off bench after just one play against Alabama and made his first career interception and had a career-best 12 tackles. He also had a tackle and broke up two passes in the Fiesta Bowl win over UCF. Harris finished year with 31 tackles, three pass breakups and an interception.

This season, he had three tackles, including one for a loss.
