LSU is set to get a key player back on its offense for the Auburn game this week at Tiger Stadium.

WR Terrace Marshall is expected to return from surgery following a stress fracture injury.

“We plan on easing him along,” coach Ed Orgeron said at his regular Monday press conference. “See how much he can do … (coaches) have an excellent plan, we talked about it today. He’s going to want to do everything and be ready. But we feel that by game time he should be ready.”

Marshall is a key player for LSU in the red zone.

“There’s some things we could’ve done better, some play calling we could’ve done better,” Orgeron said. “Terrace gives us a big threat in the red zone.”

Marshall has been out since he injured his right foot during a victory at Vanderbilt on Sept. 21.

The sophomore caught 20 passes for 304 yards and six touchdowns, which led the nation, before he was hurt. He’s slowly come back in recent weeks.

He was on crutches after the Vanderbilt game in which he had four catches for 75 yards in the 66-38 win, including one catch of 29 yards.

This shaped up to be a big season for Marshall after he played in all 13 games in 2018 with one start. He caught 12 passes for 192 yards, including catches of 52 yards against Ole Miss and 37 yards against Georgia.
