LSU is coming off another big win, this time at home over No. 10 Auburn. The win helped elevate the Tigers back into the rankings and helps set up another winnable conference game against Ole Miss.

Of course, this game serves as a homecoming of sorts for Ed Orgeron and the week has been full of some minor jawing between the two schools. Coach O was the first coach to speak during Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference.

Here’s a summary of what the LSU coach had to say:

  • “Obviously very proud of the way we fought against a very good Auburn team. We know (Ole Miss) will be at their very best. We are looking forward to going to Oxford.”
  • Has the Ole Miss-LSU rivalry changed in recent history? “It hasn’t changed much, being on both sides of it, it means a lot to both sides.”
  • Status of Toby Weathersby and John Battle? “Questionable. Hopefully they can both play. It will be a game-time decision.”
  • Thoughts on Devin White and his big sophomore season: “He’s done a fantastic job on the field and with his leadership. He’s a very special player for us.”
