Ed Orgeron responds to report linking him to UNLV job
Former LSU coach Ed Orgeron has been reportedly linked to the head coaching vacancy at UNLV. However, FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman has confirmed through talking to Orgeron that those rumors are false.
Just spoke to Ed Orgeron. He’s not involved in the UNLV coaching search nor has heard from anyone there, and he told me he has no interest in the job.

UNLV fired Marcus Arroyo after 3 seasons. UNLV began the season with a 4-1 record before finishing with a 5-7 mark. UNLV went winless in 2020 and won 2 games last season.
Orgeron guided LSU to the national title in 2019 as he was named the Home Depot Coach of the Year. Orgeron posted a 51-20 mark during his tenure at LSU. Orgeron never posted a losing season and only had 1 season without a bowl appearance as LSU’s coach.
Orgeron was also previously a head coach for Ole Miss from 2005-07 and USC in 2013.
