LSU does not have a game this week due to COVID issues, but the status of the Tigers’ QB1 has been closely followed.

On Wednesday morning’s SEC media teleconference, Ed Orgeron shared that Myles Brennan was “unlikely” to come back, though no final decision had been made.

“We are looking at the injury, we are looking to see if he can come back through rehab or if the best thing would be an operation that would help him,” Orgeron said. “We have not made a final decision, but he is unlikely to come back.”

Brennan tweeted about the situation shortly after Orgeron’s appearance on the teleconference.

“Just have to keep fighting. Looking forward to being back out there with my guys,” Brennan tweeted.

Orgeron addressed the situation again on his weekly radio show, confirming it would take “something miraculous” for the fourth-year quarterback to play again in 2020.

“Myles is going to see several doctors. We decided right now it’s best to operate or let him try to rehab,” Orgeron said on his weekly radio show, per Shea Dixon of 247Sports. “It looks to me like he won’t be available the rest of the season unless something miraculous happens. They are leaning towards getting it fixed, but nothing has been decided.”

Brennan suffered an abdomen injury in the first half of the LSU-Missouri game. He finished that game but has not played since.
