This offseason, star LSU pass rusher Arden Key had shoulder surgery, which limited his effectiveness at the beginning of the season.

However, he had been playing well recently before injuring his knee against Arkansas last weekend. Now, his status is up in the air for this weekend’s game at Tennessee.

On Wednesday night, coach Ed Orgeron updated Key’s injury situation, calling the talented linebacker/defensive end “questionable” for the game at Neyland Stadium:

Even without the star pass rusher, the Tigers should be fine against a struggling Tennessee squad.

However, Key’s NFL Draft stock has certainly taken a hit this year thanks to the injuries, so perhaps he’d be best served to come back and play next season in Baton Rouge if he’s healthy.

That will be determined later, though. For now, the Tigers just want to know if he can play in the last two games of the regular season and in a bowl game.
