LSU landed a key piece for the 2022 season recently, as former Arizona State QB Jayden Daniels announced he was heading to Baton Rouge this fall.

Now, he’ll compete with Myles Brennan and Garrett Nussmeier for the Tigers’ starting job this year.

So, what should fans expect? ESPN’s Pete Thamel appeared on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Monday and broke down what he thinks of Daniels’ decision:

“I think it’s one of the most-intriguing quarterback transfers to come this past offseason,” Thamel said. “Jayden Daniels doesn’t have the cachet, maybe, of a Caleb Williams, but there aren’t many quarterbacks in the country who went in the portal who have had more production than Jayden Daniels.”

Will Daniels end up winning the starting job? The LSU QB battle suddenly got very interesting this spring.
