Joe Burrow has already been welcomed by his NFL team
It’ll be official in less than an hour, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared with the world before the NFL Draft that the Cincinnati Bengals will draft Joe Burrow No. 1.
There’s no chance of the Bengals changing their minds either because the organization already officially welcomed Burrow and his family.
Bengals president Mike Brown officially welcomed LSU QB Joe Burrow to Cincinnati on Wednesday, one day before the Draft. Brown sent Burrow a letter that said, amongst other things, that he looks forward “to building championship football teams with you for many years to come.”

This all means that the No. 1 pick is just a formality at this point, and Burrow is soon to be an NFL player.
When this happens, Burrow will become the third former LSU player to be drafted No. 1 overall, joining JaMarcus Russell and Billy Cannon.
