Kirk Herbstreit on firing of Les Miles, says you'll hear 2 names the most for the job
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit said on College GameDay Saturday morning that if Les Miles didn’t beat Auburn, he would be in trouble.

That was pretty much the consensus around the country, honestly.
LSU ended up losing in Les-like dramatic fashion, and the Tigers fired Miles and OC Cam Cameron Sunday afternoon. Athletic director Joe Alleva didn’t waste any time.
Although Herbstreit thought it wouldn’t turn out well should he lose, he said he didn’t think the Tigers would fire him so soon.
Not surprised-I said on GameDay if they lost he'd be in trouble. Didn't think they'd pull the trigger THIS fast-but not shocked it happened. https://t.co/jUuhSoaRKc

Herbstreit was then asked who he thought LSU would pursue to replace Miles.
Just off the cuff? Think they'll go after Tom Herman. I would. https://t.co/0cCO6rCIew

He then speculated that Tom Herman and Jimbo Fisher are the two names that will be the most popular during the LSU coaching search.
Those will the 2 names you'll hear the most about. Interesting with Jimbo's success at FSU and his background in Baton Rouge. https://t.co/BWD7x8DiPd

The LSU job is a very attractive opening, and it’s going to be a wild ride until December. Two full months of the coaching carousel will be filled with endless speculation and emotional rollercoasters.
