Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette has been a front-runner for the rookie of the year award this season, but his year hit a bit of a snag when he was suspended on Sunday for failing to make it on time for a team picture and other infractions.

The Jaguars still managed to win the game without Fournette, but they’ll need the former LSU star back in action to continue their push toward the playoffs.

On Tuesday, Fournette issued an apology for his suspension, while also cracking a joke about being on time this weekend:

It’s good to see Fournette has a good sense of humor about his mistake, but he can’t afford to make any more as the season goes on.

His team needs him now more than ever, so he’ll need to stay on the active roster moving forward. The Jags host the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend before traveling to Cleveland to take on the Browns next weekend.

A playoff spot is within reach, so Fournette needs to continue his outstanding rookie season on the field.
