LOOK: LSU honoring Wayde Sims, announces moment of silence for fallen basketball player
Tragically, on Friday morning, LSU basketball player Wayde Sims was shot and killed near Southern University.
Sims was a junior forward for the team, making 10 starts last year. The entire Tiger family mourns his loss.
As you can see below, the LSU football team is honoring Sims, showing a tribute on the Tiger Stadium scoreboard and announcing they’ll have a moment of silence before tomorrow’s game against Ole Miss:
We remember Baton Rouge native and @LSUBasketball's Wayde Sims.

Obviously, this is a tough situation for all involved, but this is a classy gesture in the wake of such a tragedy.
The LSU family’s thoughts continue to be with Sims’ family and the basketball team during this time.
