LSU will finish off its season in a bowl game against Kansas State in the Texas Bowl, according to a report from Brett McMurphy of The Action Network.

The Tigers will be coached by interim coach Brad Davis as new coach Brian Kelly finishes assembling his staff. Kansas State finished 7-5 and 4-5 in the Big 12.

K-State coach Chris Klieman is 0-1 in bowl games at K-State, with his one bowl appearance coming in his debut season at the 2019 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The Wildcats lost to Navy by a score of 20-17.

This season the Wildcats lost their final 2 games to Baylor and Texas.

LSU will look to continue the energy it had in a regular season finale against Texas A&M. The Tigers have been in a bit of a tumult since October when university leaders reached an agreement to part ways with coach Ed Orgeron at the end of the season. The change came less than 2 years after Orgeron led the Tigers to a national championship.

LSU finished a 6-6 regular season.
