LSU lands commitment from four-star in-state prospect Ray Parker
The momentum of Ed Orgeron’s program continues to roll on with the latest bit of good news coming on the recruiting front as the 5-0 Tigers have landed a commitment from Ruston, La., native Ray Parker.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Parker is listed as a four-star prospect, the No. 18 offensive tackle and the No. 149 overall prospect in the nation for the 2019 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He isn’t just a big man, either, he’s athletic as he plays tight end for Ruston High School. Parker chose LSU over scholarship offers from Florida, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas among others.
LSU now holds commitments from 20 prospects in the 2019 recruiting cycle in a class that ranks among the top 10 in the nation. Of the 20 pledges in this class, 12 of them rate as either a four- or five-star prospect following Parker’s pledge.
Following the news, Coach O sent out his customary “Hold that Tiger” tweet announcing the news:
