Media wasn’t allowed at LSU’s scrimmage Saturday night at Tiger Stadium and judging from the lack of social media-related information from the few onlookers in attendance, there isn’t much to pass along.

Les Miles has continued to keep his two quarterbacks vying for the job, Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris, off limits from the get-go, saying it alleviates pressures off of the two competitors to perform.

So what exactly do we know about LSU’s offense since Miles has kept it close to the vest since the spring?

Three weeks from the season opener, one could surmise Harris has moved ahead in the competition, but not enough to earn the title of starter.

Harris started with the first-teamers during Saturday’s first fall scrimmage, but Jennings also took reps with the 1s — at least that’s what Miles confirmed would happen on Friday.

Miles said this week he would let his quarterbacks talk to the media once the competition is decided. He has kept Heisman contender Leonard Fournette under wraps as well, despite the sophomore running back being quite comfortable in front of the cameras at SEC Media Days.

“Distractions are in every facet of the perimeter,” Miles said, according to NOLA.com. “It can be your friends, it can be your family. It can be players thinking about going to the NFL, as opposed to ‘I’m going to come humbly to work today and do the things that make me strong and confident tomorrow.’

“That is an immediate live-in-the-moment distraction. It diverts all that energy.”

At least fans who attended Saturday’s scrimmage enjoyed nice weather.

And judging by a tweet from the father of LSU five-star target Dylan Moses, freshman running back Derrius Guice played well.

The Tigers return to the practice field on Monday.
