The LSU Tigers have gotten off to a hot start with their 2019 recruiting class, but that class took a big hit on Thursday evening.

That’s because, according to a tweet he sent, 4-star DE Jaren Handy is decommitting from the program.

Handy said LSU remains one of his top schools, but the Mississippi native added that he is now considering other options:

According to the 247Sports composite, Handy is the No. 7 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2019 and the No. 6 overall recruit from the state of Mississippi.

Handy already has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and others, so it’ll be interesting to see which teams emerge as his favorites over the next few months.
