Former LSU stars Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Shelvin will be teammates at the next level, too.

Two days after the Cincinnati Bengals picked Chase, they snagged Shelvin in the fourth round to re-unite the former Tigers.

In an interview after being picked, Shelvin said him and Chase are “very close.”

“Me and (Ja’Marr Chase) are very close, and we’re ready to get to work down there,” Shelvin said.

Chase also acknowledged his newest teammate on his Instagram story:

Of course, the pair is re-united with former teammate and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow. Tight end Thaddeus Moss is also on the Bengals. That group helped lead the Tigers to an undefeated National Championship run in 2019.

Shelvin didn’t play in 2020, but recorded 39 total tackles and three tackles for loss in 2019.
