It takes a special combination of talent to win a national championship. Football fans everywhere were reminded over the last three days that the 2019 national champions were loaded with NFL talent. In the 2020 NFL Draft, 14 players were drafted from LSU, tying Ohio State’s record from 2004.

The 13th LSU player selected, long-snapper Blake Ferguson, gave LSU the new SEC record, breaking Alabama’s previous mark of 12 players selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. The selection of TE Stephen Sullivan upped the Tigers tally to 14 picks. Check them all out below:

  • No. 1: QB Joe Burrow (Cincinnati)
  • No. 20: Edge K’Lavon Chaisson (Jacksonville)
  • No. 22: WR Justin Jefferson (Minnesota)
  • No. 28: LB Patrick Queen (Baltimore)
  • No. 32: RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Kansas City)
  • No. 44: S Grant Delpit (Cleveland)
  • No. 61: CB Kristian Fulton (Tennessee)
  • No. 69: G Damien Lewis (Seattle)
  • No. 83: C Lloyd Cushenberry (Denver)
  • No. 97: LB Jacob Phillips (Cleveland)
  • No. 108: T Saahdiq Charles (Washington)
  • No. 131: DT Rashard Lawrence (Arizona)
  • No. 185: LS Blake Ferguson (Miami)
  • No. 251: TE Stephen Sullivan (Seattle)

What makes the 2019 Tigers roster even more impressive is that the 14 picks do not include standout TE Thaddeus Moss (UDFA signing with Washington Redskins), WR Ja’Marr Chase (sophomore) or CB Derek Stingley Jr. (freshman). With the way Ed Orgeron is recruiting, it’s safe to assume LSU will continue to be well-represented in future drafts.
